I was just pondering our current fates and reading about the mess that the Ford Brothers found themselves in re Ms Attwood.

And I was just grocery shopping, putting gas in my car and doing the errands that are customary on a Saturday morning.

I think I would like to slit my wrists. (If I could afford the blades.)

Our wee little country has now become almost unbearable to live in considering the costs. This is not empirical research, but I do remember NOT paying 13 dollars for a tin of coffee. I remember NOT paying 20 dollars for a (Yes, single.) steak. I also remember NOT paying 100/month for hydro and certainly NOT paying more than 50 bux for a fill up. Sheeesh! I have a tiny car with an even tinier gas tank. WTF!

I am not inferring the Liberal elite are to blame for the mess we are in. Nor am I inferring that the solution is the far right, or near right, nor the neo-cons.

I am stating categorically we have been consistently being fucked by the powers that be since PET. All of em. They have been at the trough. And we the tax payers and consumers have been supplying the slop they feed on.

There is and has been, at the very least, incompetence in government and, at the very worst, collusion.
If someone does not get a handle on controlling costs or at least stand up and say, for the world to hear, "I am mad as hell and not going to take it anymore!" we, the neutered sheep, will all end up like what I have seen in KW.

I am now living in KW (pronounced KWaaaa) I did not know much about KW other than in the 60s we had great drum corps shows at Seagram Park and in the 80s Electrohome was a huge, big, fat wonderful client. Oh, and they had Universities.

Well, there is basically fuck all in KW now. Of course the Universities are still here - but nothing else.

There are no activities, no events and certainly no bars! yep they have Octoberfest and a pretty decent symphony and 500 Tim Horton's. But that does not make a city.

I see the husks of the Electrohome, Budd, Kaufman and other industries.
I see the future based on the cost of goods. And tell ya the truth it doesn't matter how much you make if everything is out of this world expensive.

Canada, y'all better get to work for a government agency, a bank or a Petro company ... or ya shall be fucked.

It sadly is written in the cards.
